21st Century Parenting

All you need is a WIFI signal and you too can be a parent of the year… at least according to Windows Phone. Check out this latest ad where all of those pesky little sticky-fingered questions can be answered by throwing a smart phone in your child’s face.

  1. Reblogged this on Silver Star Winery of Texas and commented:
In a former marriage, I became a parent at age 28 of three step-children. The children were 6, 8 and 9 when we got married. Two of the children were abandoned by their real Father when they were babies. The Father of the youngest boy was a drug addict. Each day as the Father of these three children I asked myself daily each day, “What would the best Father in the world do in this situation?” I was married to my former wife for fourteen years and took two of these children thru four years and five years respectfully of college. Truly being a step-father has to be the hardest job a man can have.

  2. Ouch. Nothing like teaching our kids to disconnect from real interaction and wire in to the ‘net. Maybe it’s a good ad, but I can’t get past the fact that I don’t like the message to know for sure.
