Ever since celebrity rehab, I’ve had a slight obsession with the super twisted and never predictable Gary Busey.
In 1988, Gary had a serious motorcycle crash. He wasn’t wearing a helmet. According to Wikipedia, doctors say they fear the accident left him with permanent brain damage. After his appearance on Celebrity Rehab in 2008, Gary, on the advice of Doctor Drew, went to see a psychiatrist who later indicated that the head injuries may have affected him more than he realized. According the psychiatrist, Gary basically has no filter, which results in him acting and speaking impulsively, most times to his detriment.
However, when life hands you lemons, you make lemonade. And Gary did just that. He is now staring in Vitaminwater commercials, looking more crazy than ever. It seems like a match made in heaven. Both Gary and Vitamin Water are delusional. Gary parades around pretending to be a clinical psychiatrist / drug councilor and Vitamin Water puts on an act of being a healthy beverage choice*.
* According to CSPI nutritionists, the 33 grams of sugar in each bottle of Vitaminwater do more to promote obesity, diabetes and other health problems than the vitamins in the drinks do to perform the advertised benefits listed on the bottles”. Coca-Cola dismissed the suit as “ridiculous,” on the grounds that “no consumer could reasonably be misled into thinking Vitaminwater was a healthy beverage”.
