Text messaging, Twitter, and other fast-paced, real-time communication styles have changed the way we interact. Sloppy, lazy grammar and blatant, elementary spelling errors are fast becoming an epidemic.
Enter a new movement called ”Americans for Grammar”. (It’s about time.) Y&R Chicago created the following print ads which drive to a website featuring a growing collection of misspelled and grammatically incorrect graffiti from around the US. Why graffiti? Because it’s visible and in-your-face, not to mention that it’s found in almost every city and town across the United States.
At AmericansForGrammar.org you can post your own images of grammatically incorrect or misspelled tags, as well as donate money to an urban language and grammar school. Nice one, Grammar Geeks. You have Canada’s full support.
