You Better Work: Coast to Coast Agency Edition

It’s been a while since we checked in on the advertising job scene. Here’s what’s making the rounds right now;

Cossette Vancouver has a call out to Creatives. They need an Interactive Art Director (4+ yrs experience), Design Director (10+ yrs experience) and a Junior Copywriter who is “keen to pitch in”.  Link

Cossette Toronto seems to have quite a few more job openings including Media Planners, Account Exec/Supervisor, Media Manager, Strategist, Planner/Buyer and PR Account Manager. Link

Taxi Vancouver, according to their website, is still searching for a Broadcast Producer (although I thought they filled that spot) and an Interactive Producer. Meanwhile in Toronto, they want to find a Help Desk and Support Member, Interactive Designer/Info Architect and Digital Strategist. Link 

Surprisingly, in light of their recent expansion into Toronto from Vancouver, Rethink only has one job posting right now, and that’s for an IT Support person in their TO office. Link

Over at DDB Vancouver, they also need to fill some creative positions. They are looking for an Art Director for Tribal, and have also put the call out to fill a Summer Creative Internship for a writer. Link

Not surprisingly, and to continue the current trend, DDB Toronto has a lot more openings. These include a Sr. Consultant, Office Administrator for the PR division, Intermediate Creative Team, Copywriter, Account Supervisor, Executive and a Jr. Interactive Designer. Link

We all heard about the recent unpleasantness at TBWA Vancouver and how they no longer exist. But like a phoenix rising out of the ashes, the company was reborn under the name Station X. They don’t have any particular postings on their website but they do say that they’re hiring. Interested parties should email resumes. Details on their website. Link

Also in Vancouver, Wasserman + Parnters needs a Senior Web Application Designer. Link

And finally, MacLaren McCann. Nothing for Vancouver, but in Toronto they want an Account Director, Executive, Bilingual Proofreader/Copy Editor, Group Account Director, Sr. Copywriter, Supervisor of Communications Strategies (media planning) and a fistful of freelance Web Developers (that’s how they’re measured, by the fistful).
